Sharks do not attack humans frequently although they may look like they are equipped too. Their jaws are designed strictly for their diet which is almost every other living thing in the ocean from planktons to other marine mammals like seals and whales. Thus, this is why sharks are the apex predators of our ocean.

In 1975, Steven Spielberg brought a new set of emotions towards sharks in his classic ‘Jaws’. Since then an image of a shark is swiftly associated with danger and almost certain death. The truth however, is very far from that.

You are more likely to be hit by a car then killed by a shark.
