Piranhas in the heart of Kuala Lumpur
 Kuala Lumpur, April 30, 2008
Aquaria KLCC are proud to present 700
red-bellied baby piranhas as the new
addition to its exhibit as a permanent
attraction for all Aquaria KLCC visitors.
These tiny deadly piranhas were transported
all the way from Japan to Malaysia. The baby
red- bellied piranhas arrived on April 18 2008
at Aquaria KLCC and underwent attentive
supervision in the façade tank to properly
 intensify its growth.
The red- bellied piranhas originated from South America, residing in the fresh water Amazonian
rivers and are the most ferocious piranha species of them all. They are known for their razor
sharp teeth and an aggressive appetite for meat. The red-bellied piranhas can grow up to
15- 25cm in length upon maturity. These extremely fast swimmers have a keen sense of smell
equivalent to sharks and salmons and would arrive at a feeding frenzy in no time.
Don’t forget to catch these tiny deadly
creatures and watch them grow only at
Aquaria KLCC with our special Triple Entry
  Pass
, where your underwater journey
  begins here.
